How to Install LibreOffice on Backtrack 5

LibreOffice is open source personal productivity suite for Windows, Macintosh and GNU/Linux, that gives applications for all your document production and data processing needs. LibreOffice has 6 application that will help you to processing your documents, there are Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math and Base. LibreOffice not installed on Backtrack 5 by default so we must install it manually. Here the tutorial of installing LibreOffice on Backtrack 5

First download LibreOffice from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
Extract the file that you have downloaded

tar xzfv [LibreOffice file]

After you extract it, go to the DEBS directory

cd [extracted LibreOffice dir]/DEBS

Install the deb package

sudo dpkg -i *.deb

And the last step is integrated the LibreOffice in the application menu


cd  [extracted LibreOffice dir] /DEBS/desktop-integration
sudo dpkg -i libreoffice3.5-debian-menus_3.5-202_all.deb
